I’m nothing if not sentimental.  I live for recording my life…probably the draw of blogging.  And sometimes that is simply inadequate.  Lately, I have more reasons to really want to record my life.  I started out with baby books for my kids that mostly fizzled out.  It’s not that I’m a bad mother, I’m simply a busy mother.  And with a new baby on the way, I wanted to do better this time.

So when I heard that there was a new way to save and share my life, I had to try it out.  LiveOn is an incredibly easy to use website that enables users to create a timeline of their life, record memorable events, and share and save for posterity.  There are multiple ways to upload photos, including capturing images from Facebook.  This can be a real time saver.  In addition, there is room for descriptions, comments, and captions making it ideal for recording the various events.

I think one of the aspects that I like best about this is the idea that there will be a history of my life for my kids and my grandkids.  And it will be recorded in a way that they are comfortable with…digitally, online.  They won’t have to worry about hanging on to loads of albums or boxes of pictures.  Instead, there will be a record I created that will take up no storage space at all and will allow them a history of my life as I lived it, told only the way I can tell it.  Of course, they do take a little license and create videos with these memories and put them to music.  I rather liked it.  I made my first memory of our wedding.

In addition to creating the timeline, there are also time capsules that can be created and delivered to one person on a specific date.  I’m thinking about creating a time capsule for my husband on our one year anniversary, recording all the special memories I have of our first year together.  Somehow, I think he’ll really like that.  I have to tell you, the possibilities are endless.  There are so many special things to do with LiveOn that I know this is a product I will be using for years to come and sharing even longer than that.
